Cochav Hatzafon – a non-profit Association- that has operated for nearly two decades throughout the Western, Eastern Galilee and the Golan, develops and supplies treatment, housing, occupational and leisure services to special needs residents of the region.
The services are given for the entire range of disabilities (physical disability, developmental, intellectual disability, autism, communicational and sensory etc.) at all functional levels, to all ages and to all sectors.
MOVE International seeks to improve the overall quality of life for people with disabilities (regardless of age or cause of disability) and the people who care for them. MOVE promotes fuller participation in homes, schools, work, day programs and community life to encourage the dignity and hope such participation brings.
The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Services works to ensure the integration of people with disabilities in the fields of employment, housing, community and society and to promote equal and active participation in all areas of life to enable them to live their lives with maximum independence and dignity, to the fullest.
The treatment has made me feel my muscles stronger and less hypertonic. I feel that it helps my movements to be more precise and that makes me feel more independent.
It is a nice experience to be able to sit without support and that my hands work better.
The treatment has made Tom feel stronger, he is now able to stand up and feel his legs on the floor bearing his weight.
In addition, it is noticed that he has less tone while sitting down on the chair during the day, and while working.
Walking with the help of the Walker is important to me now, also important that I’m not sitting in my wheelchair all day long, it gives me a lot of fun and the feeling that I can walk. When I walk with the walker, we also play with a ball, it’s a fun experience, it feels like I am a football player.
